Travel Tanzania - From Bush to Beach

☻ A great concentration of wildlife at Tarangire National Park

☻ Ngorongoro Crater is regarded as Africa's "Garden of Eden"

☻ Lake Manyara, a scenic gem, is also a birdwatchers' paradise

This tour takes you to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park on a basic camping safari. The close proximity of these three parks makes them easily accessible by road and therefore easy to explore within the time frame of three days. They are among the famous parks on the northern circuit of Tanzania and places not to miss on your holiday there.
Tarangire National Park has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, a "smorgasbord" for predators. The park is known for its large herds of elephants. It's the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked Gerenuk are regularly observed. Other most commonly seen animals are giraffes, impalas, warthogs, zebras, wildebeests, dwarf mongooses and ostriches.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area was officially declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979. The area consists of dense mountain forests, woodlands, grasslands, lakes and swamps. Some of the most important archeological sites in the world, such as Oldupai Gorge and Laetoli, can be found in the area. Ngorongoro Crater is often called "Africa's Garden of Eden". All the "Big Five" animals (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant), as well as many more mammals, live in this wonderful caldera.
Lake Manyara National Park is one of the smaller national parks in Tanzania. Still, the park is home to an interesting collection of wildlife. Manyara park also features a variety of beautiful landscapes. Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I have seen in Africa”. The lake itself is a soda lake/alkaline lake and reaches a maximum depth of 3.7 m.
