10 Days Rwanda and Tanzania Tours
Day 1: Airport pickupWe will pick you from Kigali International air port and transfer you to your hotel for an overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
This morning you depart for the mountain gorilla tracking after briefing from the authorities of the park, set off for the trekking into the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. You will carry packed lunch and water. Depending on the time you will spend while trekking you may decide to take another activity at you own cost.
Day 3: Air port transfer to Tanzania
This morning you will be transferred to Kigali international air port
for your flight to Tanzania.Dinner and overnight in Arusha or Moshi.Day 4: Tarangire National Park
Leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Your lodge is set well along the Tarangire River crossing the park and you will have a chance to see the big number of elephants, buffaloes and other game from there. Tanzania’s third largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Overnight stay at the Tarangire Roika Tented Lodge.
Day 5: Game drive at Ngorongoro
After a morning Game drive, you will drive across the wheat plains of Karatu with a farm house. Picnic lunch along the way arriving at your lodge in the early evening. Overnight stay at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
Day 6: Full day Game viewing
This day you will have a full day game viewing in the incredible natural conservation area on the crater floor. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater, you can expect to see lions, elephants, Hippos, Jackals, Zebras, antelopes and other species. Overnight stay at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
Day 7: Oldvai Gorge tour and Serengeti national park
On this day, you will take a visit to Oldvai Gorge and then to Serengeti national Park. Olduvai is the famous archeological site where the Leakey’s discovered remains of Australopithecus, Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus bringing crucial understanding to study of evolution of the human species. Game drive through the park, arriving in time for a late lunch. Overnight stay at the Serengeti Wildlife Lodge.
Day 8: Serengeti wildlife
You will spend a full day exploring this vast park with the wonderful Wildebeests Migration. All meals and overnight stay at the Serengeti Wildlife Lodge.
Day 9: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game
drive. This park, with its lush vegetation and tropical forest of giant
fig and mahogany trees is home to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes,
zebras, a variety of antelopes and monkeys plus a large population of
hippos. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Manyara Wildlife Hotel.Day 10: Lake Manyara – Arusha
Have a short game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Drive to Arusha for your proceedings.
